Hello, Sewing Friends!
If you have visited or driven by Création Unique in the last while, you may have noticed "For Sale" signs posted.
Some of you may have been alarmed by this sight, but actually Création Unique has been listed for sale for the last two years. After two years of private listing, we have decided to change agents, list more publicly on the MLS website, and post For Sale signs out front.
Some of you may remember that I explained in a 2003 issue of the Newsletter why I had decided to sell the business: for 20 years now, Création Unique has come first and my family life has come second. I had originally promised my husband that I would sell the business and work part-time teaching at Création Unique when he retired. Well, he has been retired for 6 years now, and it is time for me keep my promise.
I want Création Unique always to be part of your life and to continue to serve you; this is why I’m looking for a new owner who will continue to do the great work that Création Unique has done during the last 20 years.

I am an ardent quilter, truly loving both the art of quilting, and my ability to share
it with others. A lifetime love of sewing led me to quilting in 1991, which resulted in my quilting obsession. In 2000, I began teaching quilting classes, from my studio, based on my own no fuss, no muss patterns, and was encouraged by my students to do more. My first commercial pattern, in 2001, “My Herb Garden”, was debuted at the Canadian National Needlework Festival, in Toronto, by Chrissie Nash, of Quilters Line, Markdale, Ont., where it was very well received. It is still a very popular class. The opportunity to combine my love of this art with the high standards of Husqvarna Viking technology is incredible!
